Charles A. Sennewald, CMC, CPP, CSC
Charles A. Sennewald is Board Certified in Security Management and a Certified
Management Consultant. Chuck’s law enforcement experience includes the US
Army’s Military Police, the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department, the L.A. County
District Attorney’s Bureau of Investigation, and Chief of Police for the
Claremont Colleges. Since leaving the public sector, Sennewald has served as
Special Agent in Charge of Frauds and Director of Security for the Broadway
Department Stores. After leaving Broadway, Chuck formed his own security
consulting company,
Charles A. Sennewald & Associates, and taught
security administration at Cal State University. Chuck continues to write at a
feverish pace having authored five books, two of which (Effective
Security Management and
The Process of Investigation) are recommended
reading for the CPP exam. Sennewald is probably best known for his founding of
the
International Association of Professional Security
Consultants, known today as a premier security organization
throughout the world.
Karim H. Vellani, CPP, CSC
Karim H. Vellani, CPP is the President of
Threat Analysis Group, a security consulting
firm specializing in Crime Analysis, Risk Management, and Security Program
Design. Karim is a leading expert in the field of crime analysis and
foreseeability, having consulted with and trained both law enforcement agencies
and private sector companies, as well as serving as an expert witness in
negligent security litigation. Beyond his consulting practice, Karim is an
adjunct professor at the University of Houston - Downtown, teaching graduate
level security management and risk analysis courses and is often called upon to
speak at security seminars and roundtable discussions. He holds a Master’s
Degree from Sam Houston State University in Criminal Justice Management and is
the author of
Applied Crime Analysis and numerous security
articles. Mr. Vellani is Board Certified in Security Management.
